Introducing Hi-PSI-G

Until now, a low-cost, energy-efficient process for manufacture of an alpha cement binder (e.g., alpha gypsum, alpha hemihydrate) has eluded the gypsum industry. Filling this void, G.B. Technologies’ (GBT) patented alpha-gypsum material and process technology (Hi-PSI-G) provides new capabilities to an industry in need of market growth and cost control.

Advantages of the new material and calcining process include reduced process water demand, low energy consumption, low capital outlay using off-the-shelf equipment, minimal labor to operate, and multi-source raw material, e.g., natural, synthetic, or recycled gypsum.
